The Ice creams of Hokkaido
Starting from the lower left, clockwise. (1) Lavender. Aside from the Lavender products, they also have the ice cream. It’s only very much similar to vanilla, though. (2) Melon. Yubari melon being an expensive and famous fruit in Hokkaido, there’s an ice cream version too. It’s sweet and somehow it made the already-soft ice cream feel softer. (3) Strawberry Cheesecake. This one’s so good! Very creamy and there are small chunks of graham-like biscuits inside. (4) Green tea and Strawberry. These two flavors are always present in every buffet meals we had, either in ice cream or in cake form (or sometimes both). (5) Taro. There are also bits of red beans. (6) Green Tea. Of course, the walang-sawa flavor! (7) Black Sesame. Very, very strong flavor. (8) Royce Matcha Green Tea. I searched for 7/11s just to buy this one!! And was just able to spot it during our last day :)) Worth every walk to convenient stores :))) (9) White Chocolate. From Ishiya Chocolate factory in Sapporo, this one’s probably one of the yummiest ice cream I’ve tasted :)
Hrm, something’s lacking. I wasn’t able to try the Rainbow Ice cream famous in Otaru. And I found out there’s Sakura (Cherry blossoms) ice cream also! Too late already :)) Til next Japan again!
